Sexual Tension and the Place of Magical Rooms.

So Jack and I went to a party tonight. The first thing to greet us as we walked through the entry to this sprawling apartment was a carousel horse facing a three-story waterfall down the side of the wall. Wow! I looked around discoveries abounded everywhere.

One room housed a theater where a band was playing on stage and folks were dancing on a dance floor. Going up a level was a balcony over looking that stage and a long walk way leading to rooms and rooms within rooms hidden by secret doors. (Doors that looked like shelves, brick walls and closets)

Each room had a theme and was intricately decorated. There was a log cabin room. Christmas room. Leopard room. 50’s room. A kitchenette with a giant coffee cup booth. It just went on and on.

We talked to those we bumped into and danced Salsa to the punk band out on the walkway above the floors. We danced on the crowded dance floor for a dance before passing thru. We tangoed to the jukebox music upstairs; doing ganchos, wraps, and high kicking boleos, line boleos. (We’re learning boleos) And Jack charmed the ladies.

For some reason the channel five news was there filming. A photographer named Brooks took a few pictures of me although I was no one in particular and didn’t even know the host until meeting him briefly later.

It was very fun and so unplanned. When Jack and I hang out I get such great guy energy. Jack says if I had gone alone, guys would have tried to talk to me and flirt. He wants to see me start dating, he wants to see me happy. As is my way I don’t care about that. Yeah, I know Jack and I look like a couple, my arm around his waist and his around my shoulder. (My head on his shoulder as I sit in the same chair with him, and we talk to people) I’m an affectionate person and so is he. Jack gives me great guy energy. I need that attention.

I need that closeness and affection and it just comes naturally from Jack. The women wanted to know if I slept with a lot of tango guys…how about my partner Jack? I had to laugh and tell them that would ruin everything. Take away the sexual tension, "...and then what is there?", I say with a devilish look in my eye. They were intrigued and with that they questioned me further.

I Deserve Another Great Love.

I’m a bit bored and since all of us here are pretty much snowed in, dances tonight have been cancelled. When I reminded myself of the great loves of my life, I realized I was in fact ready to give up this lost cause before me, for a chance at a truly great love like those of my past.

The smile has returned to my face as I sit thinking of all this and how fantastic those men in my life have been. Those past great loves. My first boyfriend, (and first kiss) the most notable and handsome twins, ah yes Kenny (!!!), and my ex before his depression.

I smile for all my great loves to come, as I know there will be more, my past proves that. I smile for the great loves in my life at this moment -- those of my friends and family. I forgot how wealthy in love I really am!
